We’re very pleased with the Boca Grande custom home progress. Safety Harbor Builders is doing a great job on our new design for a fantastic couple from Minnesota. Energy Smart Home Plans designer Dave Jenkins says that working with the happy owners Mark and Rose, has been a total pleasure. We really appreciate that Mark takes time to send us such positive and uplifting messages whenever he’s in town to observe the progress.

Just in last night:

“…house looks great, cannot wait to move in!!!!

In response to my reply asking what he thinks of the progress:

“Stunned! Flabbergasted! It’s awesome! Well done!”

It certainly helps to have the top-quality builder like David Benner constructing the Florida vernacular home that’s directly across from the beaches on beautiful Boca Grande. David has a way of not only making his customer’s dreams a reality, but he receives plenty of customer’s “Oooohs” and “Aaaahs!”

Seen in the pictures is the 15’ 9” vaulted ceiling over the Dining and Living space and a generous 14’ x 19’ Kitchen. The front elevation reveals three dormers that naturally light the entire 43’ 6” gathering space from above. You can imagine the dramatic entry this makes from the 8’+ deep front porch that spans nearly the entire length of the front facade.

Boca Grande Realtor, Brian Corcoran of the BRC Group, joined us for the walk thru.

Mark and Rose really wanted their own tropical oasis, a custom home where every day is a vacation day. David the builder, and Dave the designer, suggested early on, that the home be oriented with the entry porch facing the beach road.

The L-Shaped Courtyard home has an ample 648 square foot covered Lanai complete with a generous seating area and room for a full size Dining set adjacent an outdoor Kitchen. All surrounds the Outdoor Living space bathed in the Florida sun and nearly every room has a view of the oasis. Scheduled to be completed in early February Mark & Rose’s dream will come true just in time to escape the Minnesota winter!
